ALL DONE!! HURRAH!! YIPPEE!! CONGRATULATIONS TRENTON - YOU GOT THROUGH IT - WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF YOU!!
Trenton is offically done with his radiation treatments. He had a GREAT morning at his PARTY!! Thanks to the radiation team (Indra, Angie, Kim, Nurse Sue, Nurse Eva, Nurse Carmelita, Dr. Connell, Dr. Joel, and Dr. Salama) and to the anesthesia teams (especially Eileen and Gwen)!!! Trent had the perfect medical staff around him that performed their jobs perfectly and so compassionately. They made sure Trent had everything he needed - even letting him go through his own routine (MOMMY SIT DOWN NEXT TO ME…ARIANA STAND IN FRONT OF ME…). We were blessed to have this group around us - they have touched our lives in so many ways from their good morning smiles to their many words of encouragement!!!
Trent received some neat toys today: a Star Wars Play Station II game, Yoda talking doll, dinasaur figures, yo-yo, and a gift card. Plus, the team brought in cupcakes, cookies, cool aide, and Gwen even made brownies. Trent had is daily LARGE glass of Root Beer - he perfers Dr. Becker pop (natural alternative), but root beer comes in a close second. Many pictures were taken and hugs given. Meagan (with her lovely smile) even posed for a picture with Trent today - they look so cute!
Trent was a little more tired than usual this morning. He has been sneezing alittle bit and has had some congestion in the mornings. Also, his appetite has really been low the past 5 days. But the excitment of the day encouraged him to brighten up and he finally ate a Subway sandwich, some strawberries, and cheese. I can tell he will need to go to bed early tonight.
Trent will have a MRI on August 11th. We will be able to tell if his tumor has grown, became smaller, or stayed the same.
