Trent had his MRI on August 11th and the results are GREAT!! They told us that the pontine glioma has decreased in size and that this decreased swelling is consistent with interval tumor regression!!! We are hoping that this will continue over the coming months – his next MRI will be in November.
Trenton’s birthday party was a great success!! Thanks to many friends and family members help – cooking, organizing, and cleaning up – Trenton and everyone had a wonderful time!! The clouds and rain went away just in time for the fun to begin – the spongebob moonwalk was set up and the kids piled in!!
As the guests arrived, they ate a great meal prepared by family (chicken, mostacolli, mac & cheese, taco salad, & more). Then Batman and Spiderman stopped by to tell Trenton Happy Birthday!! After pictures with the two superheros, the kids gathered downstairs to break open 2 pinata’s filled with lots of candy. By this time, everyone was ready for some delicious birthday cake. Trenton blew out his candles quickly and everyone settled in to watch him open his gifts.
Before leaving, our friends and family gathered around Clint and I in a circle and began to pray over us (we tried to get Trenton to stay with us, but he wanted to play, so we let him go with the other kids). There was so much love, faith, and hope in this circle – it was very emotional and brought peace to Clint and I. We are so blessed to have so much love and support around us…PRAISE GOD!!!
Later on in the evening, Ariana, Savannah, Lauren, and Caden put on a song/dance show. It was very special and brought back some memories from our own childhood – no worries – only fun and more fun. Our little ones are growing up so fast – hold them and kiss them while they will still let you!!
Trenton says that his favorite part of the whole party was when spiderman visited. He had so much fun and I know he will remember this special day!! Thank you again to all of you who helped to make Trenton’s party a success!!
MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!
