[thumb:653:l]Last weekend, we had alot of fun surprises!! Nana Kouris came to visit for the weekend – and she brought with her many wonderful crafts for us to do!! We made Angels using our hand prints – Trenton loved getting messy!! And she also left us some plaster of paris to create hand moulds!![newline]

Trenton had a fun time!![thumb:657:l]
Theresa, Bob, Savannah, Caden, GAunt Cindy, Ross, Tyler, and Jason stopped by to do some fun crafts also!![thumb:667:l] [thumb:666:l] All the cousins created their own memory picture frame!! We want so say THANK YOU to everyone in Michigan and Illinois for your gifts!!!
Trenton was starting to drool again yesterday – so we increased his steroid dose from 6mg to 8mg daily. He is not very mobile anymore – we have to be with him everytime he walks – which is mainly to use the bathroom. I have made appointments with Children’s Therapy Plus for him to see an OT and PT that are closer to home. I believe the exercise will be good for him. We are still in the “watching him” phase….waiting to see if the hydrazine will help….we will give it another couple of weeks.
[thumb:662:l]Eley Kuchar and Lindsey Bates (Trent’s Gingerbread school teachers) are so thrilled that Trenton is attending school…I brought him to school Monday and Tuesday last week…he had alot of fun!! He was afraid the first day that I brought him with his wheelchair…he said “the other kids will think I am OLD!!” But his friends at Gingerbread welcomed him with open arms!!! [thumb:677:l] Thank you so much to the staff at Gingerbread School and our little friends families for their gifts and yummy food – we have been so blessed to have our family be apart of such a loving group!!!
Trenton stayed the night at Grandma Richards house on Tuesday night…he had been asking about staying there ALL DAY!! So, when PaPa Oochie came over, I got Trenton all ready to go on his adventure without mommy or daddy. He was so thrilled to be going in PaPa Oochie’s car…I guess Trenton and Grandma Aultman had a good conversation all the way there. I was told that Trenton loved PaPa’s chicken and biscuits (PaPa bought Kentucky Fried for dinner – and they had biscuits for breakfast Wednesday morning). He played with Jarret and Nicholas – watched some movies and slept with PaPa Aultman at night. Trenton had GREAT time!!! We are so happy when we see him smile or laugh now – his body has changed so much – and he still acts like it does not bother him – he is just adapting to it all – he is so strong and brave, my little boy!!!
From the time we got the news about Trenton’s tumor, I was heartbroken…with every change in him, we are trying to adjust to a new “normal”. Not many people ever think about what they would do if their child was terminally sick, or if they had to prepare for their child’s funeral. Sometimes a mother/father knows and feels things about their children….I have felt things numerous times about my kids. I am not giving up….I want to be prepared so that I may honor my sons memory…Thankful that Jesus is guiding me and helping me to stay strong!!!
In the midst of all of our news, we did not get to post a farewell to Cameron – a brave little boy we were following that received his angel wings on February 3rd. Please pray for the Brooks family!!!
A NEW HOPE (From a book Titled “Journey through Heartsongs”)
I need a hope…a new hope
A hope that reaches for the stars, and
That does not end in violence or war.
A hope that makes peace on our earth, and
That does not create evil in the world.
A hope that finds cures for all diseases, and
That does not make people hurt,
In their bodies, in their hearts,
Or most of all, in their spirits.
I need a hope…a new hope,
A hope that inspires me to live, and
To make all these things happen,
So that the whole world can have
A new hope, too.
