Enjoying the Days Together…

[thumb:685:l]Last Saturday (the 11th), Trenton’s cousin Jarett celebrated his 5th Birthday at our house!! The kids had so much fun…Jellybean the Clown came to visit!! With Jarett’s help, she put on a funny magic show and painted the kids arms.[thumb:701:l][thumb:702:l] We had cake/ice cream and played some games…like hot potato, which Trenton won 3 times!! All the cousins were there: Trenton, Jarett, Nicholas, Robbie, Aaron, and Ariana as well as a couple other very special friends of our family Ellie and Jenna. Here are a few more photos from the exciting day:[thumb:678:l][thumb:680:l]…there are more to see in our gallery..take a look!!

Valentines Day was filled with fun, too!! Grandma Richards took Trenton to his Valentine Party at Ginderbread School…and she said that Trenton did very well and had lots of fun with his friends finding the hearts around the room. He received lots of cute valentines and yummy candy. Trenton gave each of his teachers a rose!!

[thumb:708:l][thumb:709:r]Grandpa Anderson came over to visit on Tuesday as well as Dr. Sylvia Vicente & Family (Trenton’s Pediatrician) [thumb:713:l][thumb:711:l]. They both brought Trenton and Ariana Valentine goodies that made them smile!! Trenton received a special Valentine Doggie and chocolates from the Vicente-Garcia family. [thumb:710:l]

Yesterday, I brought Trenton to Children’s Therapy Plus to receive an evaluation from a PT and OT. We are so blessed that the OT is Holly Witt and the PT is Melanie Davis…both from Suncrest Christian Church. Trenton has not been very active since his abilities have started to diminish due to the growth of both tumors. Taking care of him has become a full day activity: dressing, bathroom, walking, some eating (when using utensils), any kind of movement…requires help. He has not been able to use his left hand…in fact…refuses to use it. He says his left leg is broken…we know this means he has little to no control or feeling in this leg. Trenton can stand in one position…but he must hold onto something with his right hand to be stable. I am hoping with therapy he can feel more in control…and I want to get his left side moving…if only to get the circulation going. He has been having some trouble swallowing, and he occassionally will drool alittle. After all of this….my little man has never complained…he seems to have adapted to this new way of life. I often wonder if it is his age…would be feel/act differently if he were older. Trenton still maintains his humor…he makes all of us laugh many times throughout a day…even on more difficult days!!! Clint and I are so proud of him…that he is still able to find humor…laugh at us, the TV, or make a joke out of something himself!!!

Ariana spent this weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Anderson….rollerskating and other fun things. Yesterday, Clint and I took Trenton out to eat at Olive Garden. [thumb:715:l]We have not taken him out like this since his changes. Trenton ate very well and we all enjoyed this time out of the house. We took him to ToysRUs to choose a toy for him and Ariana…then off to Target to get the “March of the Penguins” movie…then off to Kohl’s to get him a bigger winter coat (the old one just does not fit his changed figure). All in all, we enjoyed the time…even though it was SO COLD outside. We came home, watched our penquin movie, and then off to bed….

We would like to thank a study group Suncrest (The Baran’s, The Wierzbicki’s, and others) for the MOVIE Basket…which included pop, candy goodies, popcorn, gift certificates, etc. Trenton was so happy…you should have seen his face!!!

We would also like to thank David and Kim Willis for giving us clothes for Trenton…we would like to ask you for prayers for their family as well…their son Trevor (Trenton’s cousin) is up at U of C today for tests regarding a growth found by his tailbone.

  1. Donna/Clint,

I can not thank you enough for opening up your home for Jarett’s birthday party!! I wanted the children to have lots of fun and I believe we nailed it!! It was a blast, wouldn’t it be nice to have Jellybean the clown around all the time. See you soon, we miss you.

    -Love-
