Again, another week goes by so quickly. Trenton was feeling so good this morning…he actually wanted to go to school. He was laughing and talking more…no headache…and he ate well. He has started having headaches again over the last week…they are not too painful…he usually goes to sleep when he has one. We have had alot of visitors this week: Aunt Denise, Uncle James & Aaron, Grandma & Grandpa Anderson, Grandma & Grandpa Richards, Pastor Greg Lee, Miss Sue, Mary Beth, Toni & Lauren Blaszczyk, and Amy Fishl. Each visit was unique and Trenton loved all the attention!! I call him Master Trenton sometimes and he laughs. We have also received some packages for Trenton from Beth & Allie, Na-Na Kouris, and Trenton’s Chemo-Angel. He LOVES the packages…thank you so much for the surprises!!!
I have been having a hard time sleeping. I keep remembering Trenton…different moments over the last 5 years. I really miss the talks we used to have at night in bed. I would cuddle up to him and we would lay there just talking about things that happened…funny things mostly. I am comforted that we talked about heaven alot…he always said he did not want to go…and I would reassure him that he should not be afraid…that it was a beautiful place…and that mommy, daddy, and Ariana will be there too some day. He kept wanting me to affirm that only old people die…and I told him that no-one knows when GOD will call for us – young or old. He would be satisfied and eventually fall asleep…and I would cry – holding his hand and kissing the back of his head.
Ariana is doing well…she will be starting cheerleading in June…and she continues with her gymnastics. She has been very resilient…even with seeing the physical changes in Trenton. She has been a great helper for us…and she loves her brother so much. I feel confident that she will be a big part of helping Clint and I get through this…we have so much love and support from all of our family & friends…and we have GOD to comfort us – his part being the biggest of all!!
We recently found out that Meagan, a little friend who was diagnosed just after Trenton, has more tumors in her spine. They have been causing her bad leg pain over the last week. She is now receiving radiation on her spine to relieve the pain and hopefully kill the tumors. We ask that you please add little Meagan to your daily prayer list…
