Thanks for making TRENTS TREK a SUCCESS!!
Saturday the 9th was so surreal - we had approximately 130 people show up for the event!!! We wanted to thank everyone who came and those who could not but donated to The Halo of Hope Foundation in Trenton’s honor anyway. After an emotional beginning…Clint started the 5K - and he even attempted to run it himself…I am so proud of him!!! I started the 1 mile walk and then Ariana started the kids run. We gave away alot of raffle prizes-for children and adults. THANK YOU SUNCREST CHURCH, JARED TOMICH, AMY, AND ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS/SPONSORS FOR HALO OF HOPE. We are looking forward to next year - so mark your calendars - September 8, 2007.
Trenton’s 6th Birthday has come and gone (August 18th). I remember him looking forward to a Power Ranger Party…and also to riding the bus to school with Ariana. He would always kiss her goodbye in the mornings - sometimes even yelling out of the front door as the bus came to a stop in front of our house “I LOVE YOU ANA”. He had so many hopes and dreams…and I did not have the heart to tell him what was coming. It was so hard to reassure him of the future - his future. This was one of the most difficult things about the illness…you never knew when he would begin to change. He would be fine one day and so different the next. I miss my baby so much!!!
All in all, we are managing. We talk with, email, and spend time with other families that have lost their children to the same tumor. I feel that this helps all of us…we understand eachothers pain and have lived it - maybe not exactly the same, but so very close. Ariana is still involved with gymnastics and cheerleading. Running her everywhere and getting back to work has kept me busy - and there are times when I feel like I can come out of this. But there are times when I remember Trenton - walk past his room - and the pain hits - and it hits hard. I expect this and I cope with it.
Lilah has proven to be a puppy with so much SPIRIT….I think she is going through her terrible two’s!!! Halloween is on its way….so many things Trenton wanted to be. Ford is having a hard time right now - many auto makers are….but our future seems shaky. Thanks for checking in on us - GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!
