[thumb:738:l]We attended a candle lighting ceremony last night in memory of Trent and other children who have passed. The Compassionate Friends of Lake and Porter Counties is the group that sponsored the event. I had the honor of putting together the slide show for the event. There were about 100 people who attended. We were given the opportunity to meet some new people, who share in the grief of a lost child. Mimi created some beautiful candles with Trenton’s picture, angel wings, and silver halos. Aunt Sue W. picked out the perfect green candles and Mimi stayed up til 3am cutting out the angel wings (labor of sweet love for her “Honey Bear”). They were so beautiful!! Mimi says that Trenton had a part in the creation as well…We all know he would have said “Cool!!”. Angel Meagan’s family came to the ceremony as well…we created some candles with Meagan’s picture too. We will post a picture of the candles in the next post!
Tonight we are going to start putting up the tree, we have been reluctant to do so until now, Ana of course is beating us up pretty hard in order to get this done. I proposed that we do it in stages instead of all at one time. Hopefully, that will make it less upsetting for all of us. Santa Clause is again going to visit the house this year despite rumors from school that Santa Clause is not real. I think I put it like this, “Do you believe in Santa Clause?” the response was “I want to”. I said “Well then believe in Santa, ok honey?” she said “Ok Dad” That went over rather well we thought… I think it is ok to wish everyone “Happy Holidays”, and we will talk to everyone soon.

Hello Andersons,
We want to wish you all the very best possible Christmas and holiday season. We realize that things will be difficult and painful. That pain, however, is a byproduct of love, which is a precious gift from God. Our prayer for you all this year is that each time you feel the pain of loss, it will be followed by the warmth of all the love and comfort that you have known as a result of having Trent in your lives.
God Bless you all and very best wishes.

Hello Family,
I wish I could’ve been w/ you all last night. We lit a candle and prayed at the same time as you. It felt good to let the tears fall, pray to our Father and have a moment of silence remembering all the great things about Trentie.
I love you all,
Denise
Donna and Clint,
I know you don’t want to put up the tree but I think your daughter is right by asking. It will be so unbelievably hard but I think you need to get through this stage. I know how bad the Holidays are as they are when you lose someone you love and it is so much more painfull when it is your child. Unfortunately we have to go through the greiving process or the pain will eat us alive.
Please don’t feel strange if you need to scream or lay in front of the tree crying for a couple of hours. This is what we need to do.
You’ll be in my prayers. God Bless.
Love, Alison
